Daddhojanam..Curd rice with tadka is pretty much familiar in South India,in temples as Bhog and especially in Brahmins homes too..As bhog in pujas.

Materials... Cooked Warm rice..2 cups Milk..boiled and cooked to room temp..50 ml  Curds..2 to 2 1/2 cups Salt..to taste 
For AVA mixture.. Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp Make half tsp Mustard seeds in to powder, in a mortar add pinch table salt and 1 tsp water ,make a paste..and keep aside..just 10 minutes before mixing the Rice..  For Tadka.. oil..1 tbsp  Urad dal ..1/2 tsp Chana dal..1/2 tsp Mustard seeds..1/2 tsp Red mirchi..1..make slits.. Green chilli..2 no.s..make slits. Ginger finely chopped pieces..1/2 tsp Asafoetida..1 pinch Curry leaves 
Method.. Take cooked warm rice..2 cups.(the cooked rice should be a little mushy...set it aside.. Add milk to the cooked rice..and let it cool completely..After making Tadka add the prepared Tadka to the Rice.. along with curds/yoghurt and AVA paste.. and mix …

INGREDIENTS: Cooked Rice-1 cup Curds-3 cups Salt- to taste Seasoning: Ghee-2 table spoons Mustard seeds-half spoon Red mirchi-1 no Ginger ,Green mirchi paste-half spoon Curry leaves, Coriander(For Garnishing) METHOD: Place a kadai on the stove,add Ghee into it.Then add Mustard seeds,Red chilli slits,Ginger n Greenchilli paste and curry leaves,saute it. Switch it off.In a bowl take 3 cups of curds ,add 1 cup of Cooked Rice,and the prepared Seasoning to it along with Curry leaves.We can sprinkle chopped corriander leaves Its optional..Add salt to taste,mix well.keep it aside.Serve.
This dish is highly recommended in travelling.  Garnish..


Before eating add a few pomogranate for extra taste.

PANCHAMRUTHAM An easy made prasadam in 5 minutes by mixing all the readily available materials..especially it's made in every home in Puja.

Materials.. Cow milk..1/4 cup Cow curds..1/4 cup Cow ghee..1/2 spoon Honey..1tbsp Sugar..1 tsp Water..1/2 tbsp Banana  1/2 chopped into small pieces.
Method.. Take a cup and place milk,and now add curds,mix well Add ghee,blend,finally add honey and sugar and mix well. Lastly add finely chopped banana pieces,thoroughly mix. Panchamrutham is ready for neivedhyam now.

BLACK EYED PEAS SUBZI The black eyed pea,is a subspecies of the cowpea,grown around the world.This small bean has a black circular "eye" at its inner curve.Serve this tasty and healthy dish with steaming hot cooked rice and rotis. Ingredients: Dried black peas-2 cups Onion finely chopped -1cup Oil-2 to 3 tbsp Green chillies-2 to 3 minced Chopped tomatoes/puree-1 cup Ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp Garammasala powder-1 tsp Turmeric powder-1/4 th tsp Jeera powder-ground-1/2 tsp Dhania powder-1 tsp  Chilli powder-1to 2 tsp  SaltCurds-1/2 cup Cilantro-2 tbsp Method: Soak black eyed peas for 6 hours. Pressure cook the soaked black eyed peas with 2 cups of water for 2 whistles and let it cool. Heat oil in a pan,and after it is heated,add chopped onion, and fry  in low heat until transculent. Menthi majjiga or menthi perugu is  another light side dish which is very yummy.It can be prepared instead of sambar or rasam,when u are in a hurry.It can be used as a raitha too,it tastes best with a combo of warm rice with mango pickle or any other pickle .

Materials:
Curds 2 cups  Curds/yoghurt of a day before
Salt Seasoning:

Method:
Place curds of a day before in a bowl,mix salt and keep it aside.Now place a small pan for seasoning on the stove,add oil to it. Then add red chilli slits,ajwain,methi seeds and mustard seeds.Toss well. Aftert they stop spluttering add green chilli slits and corriander leaves,and mix well,see that they are well fried .Switch off the stove.After cooling add the seasoning to curds and mix well.Garnish with corriande…

Materials:


Potlakaya ..finely chopped pieces..  1 cup

Curds ..2 cups
Salt..To taste Seasoning:

Oil.. 1 to 2 tbspMustard seeds ..1 tspMethi seeds ..a pinchRed chillies ..2 nos..make slitsGreen chillies.. 4 to 5 nos...slitsCurry leaves..Chopped.Hing... a pinch
Method:

Chop potlakaya...(snake gourd) into small pieces .Place a pan on the stove add 1/2 tbsp of oil and after heating add chopped potlakaya pieces and saute well in  low temp with a lid on it .It will take above 10 mins to cook itself  in water vapour.After the vegetable  pieces are cooked and become tender switch off the stove and keep them aside.Next place a pan with remaining oil for seasoning , and add mustard seeds,methi and redchilli slits ,hing ,and haldhi ,saute well.Next add green chilli slits and curry leaves ,mix well,switch off the stove after it is done.Let it cool.After it is cooled,add the seasoning and the vegetable potlakaya mixture in the curds.Mix well,and add kothmeer …
