Mamidi kaya pappu/Mango dal..In IP.. In my way..

Mango dal is a delicious tangy tasty dal which each and every one opts in warm rice with  a dallop of ghee..In IP it's too easy to cook,neatly done..Unlike pressure cooker..we will do it here now..

Tur dal... 3/4 cupRaw mango cubes...1 cup.. check the tangyness of mangoGreen chillies..5 to 6Salt..To taste For seasoning..

Oil..3 to 4 tbspMustard seeds..1 tspJeera..1 tspMethi seeds..1/4 th tspRed chillies..5 to 6..Make slits.Garlic flakes..5 to 6..Finely chopped(optional)Curry leaves chop.1 tbspTurmeric powder..1/4 tsp Here you go for..Video... Method... Place washed tur dal along with mango cubes and green chilli slits in Instapot Insertor and add 2 cups water.
Set the instapot to 11 minutes manually,turning the vent to sealing position.

After cooking and beeping is done,leave for a while,so that the dal is steam cooked well. 
 Meanwhile prepare seasoning on stove top.Place a pan on stove,add 3 to 4…


MAMIDIKAYA PULIHORA:Summer..being a season of mangoes,we can do this recipe instantly within half an hour.

Materials: Rice 2 cupsGrated raw mango-1cupSalt to taste Seasoning:
Oil 2 to 3 tbspsMustard seeds 1 spoonMethi seeds1 pinchRed chillies 2 to 3 nos (made into slits)Urad dal 1 spoonChanna daal 1 spoonCashewnuts or groundnuts-1/2 cupTurmeric powder a littleHing a pinchCurry leaves a fewGreen chillies 5 to 6 nos -made in to slits Method:
Pressure Cook rice first.The rice and water should be in the ratio of 1:2.After done,let it cool.Meanwhile,place a pan on the stove,add oil to it.After the oil is  heated, add channa daal,urad daal,ground nuts,redchilli slits,mustard seeds ,methi seeds etc. one by one ,saute well..let them fry to medium brown colour..Lastly add green chilli slits,and curry leaves,then  switch it off,after 1 min,take care while frying the curry leaves,coz they will splutter.Add the grated mamidikaya ,haldhi,and salt with the cooked rice, mix well according to your taste…


Maamidi kaya Pappu...

Maamidikaya ...(raw mango)peeled and  chopped..1 cup  Adjust the tur dal quantity according to the sourness of the mango

Tur daal(kandi pappu) 2 cupsGreen chillies..Slits of  6 to 7 no.sRed chillies 3 nosCurry Leaves..choppedHing or Garlic chopped finelyMustard seeds ..1 tea spoonOil 2 spoonsHaldi a pinchSalt to taste
Wash and Pressure cook Turdaal ,mash it and keep aside Place a Kadai add Oil to it. After its heated add all the seasoning materials Mustard seeds,Red  and Green chillie slits ,Hing or Garlic paste,and Curry leaves,saute it.  Then add Raw Mango pieces, and water .Let it boil. Then after it is cooked, add the pressure cooked Daal, mix them according to your taste,  mash it and lastly add Salt . According to individual taste the Mango mixture and cooked Daal can be added along with salt. A good  combination is with fried Vadiyams and Majjiga Mirapakayalu
